Story

Locally sourced, globally minded, from scratch.

in 2015, braden had a thought.

“i should open a restaurant”.

having visited kincardine several times and falling desperately in love with the area, he thought kincardine might be the right place.  a friend suggested he meet with the owners of a restaurant that was listed for sale (the harbour street brasserie).  so, the time was right as well (fun fact: time and place was one of the first names suggested for the restaurant).

217 harbour street was built in the very early days of kincardine’s history.  it served for decades as a private residence, before being converted into a restaurant.  the Tusk is the third iteration of a restaurant in this space.  to date, we have been operating for 4 years, survived a pandemic, and found ways to grow personally and professionally.  we love food and drink.  like, a lot.  and we love finding new and inventive ways to share what we create with you; scratch cooking, a diverse wine selection and handcrafted cocktails are a must around these parts.

this is our home and our passion.  it is our absolute pleasure to operate this restaurant with all the love and energy we can muster.

if you’re reading this, you’re exactly where you should be.  welcome to our home, we hope you enjoy being here as much as we do.
